Salon Copage may likely be the best hair salon in Boca. Having just passed its one year anniversary, it has met with nothing but raves and praise. Even the Anniversary Party was a magical splash, a blowout that included an array of delicious foods from Maggiano’s Italian Restaurant, an open bar of fine wines and vodka, and a few hundred guests including notables from the Boca area and celebrities from New York. This hair venue is by far the best of Boca, garnering awards in every arena from hair to beauty.
Salon Copage began thirty years ago in Great Neck, New York by owner Biage Bucario but it was ten years ago that Biage and Robin Natiss met, and then reconnected two years ago. He described his path, “It was Great Neck to Beverly Hills to Boca.” He had worked with the best including Jon Peters on Rodeo Drive in L.A. who coiffed Barbra Streisand’s hair. Here in Boca, he said, “we have the most creative team who has backgrounds from Vidal Sassoon, John Dellaria, Paul McGregor (who styled Jane Fonda’s hair for the film “Klute”) and La Coupe on Madison Avenue.” The dynamic team includes 20 well trained stylists, colorists and an esthetician. Biage explained that everyone in Salon Copage is a Master Stylist and Color Specialist who “knows how to melt color into color, like blues and pinks into blonde.” Creative Director, Adam Shuman, aka “The Wizard, is famous for his dry haircuts, runway shows for top designers, and updos for different charities. The salon also has a multi-company hair extension department.
Biage described how “clients love the vibe the minute they walk in the door. The feel is like a salon in SoHo.” He mentioned the many extra amenities offered from the shampoo gal who includes a soothing five minute massage (“no one else does this”) to the hospitality of the table of goodies at the entrance completely spread with tempting fresh bagels, cookies, coffee, green tea and more. Humorously, Biage said, “we moved from Great Neck to Beverly Hills to the ‘sixth borough of New York’…Boca.”
Salon Copage also boasts having “Enrique,” a master make up artist, as well as an esthetician specializing in facials, V-line facials (called “the instant face lift” that uses bio-micro current and RF), microdermabrasion, waxing, chemical peel and lipo-slim (cellulite.) Robin described her ultra-positive experience as a result of a V-line facial: “One 90 minute treatment session and my crow’s feet were gone and I felt ten years younger.” Another attractive sideline of Salon Copage is the exquisite jewelry for sale by Barbara Goldstein and Robin Natiss. “Everyone needs a little extra bling for themselves or a friend, “ Robin said. In consideration of out-oftowners, our salon is multi-lingual, joked Biage. “We speak French, Spanish, Italian, Hebrew, Portuguese and “Brooklyn-ese.”
Co-owner of the salon, Robin Natiss, grew up in New York but had moved to Europe where she and a partner had owned a salon in Palermo, Sicily in Italy. Now she prides herself in being “the mother hen” at Salon Copage, overseeing every – thing to keep each day running smoothly from appointments to training employees on the computer system, to every detail from start to finish. She said, “I make sure our clients get pampered, and treated like royalty, right from the front desk.” She described how very proud she is of the camaraderie of her team, “and that comes from the heart.” She added, “we are told by clients that we are the talk of the town. Because we stand out from the rest, stylists are dying to work here. This is a drama-free salon.” She said the salon has the best of the best in location (by the Town Center mall), the best education (offering their employees classes in cutting, color, extensions and smoothing systems), the best decor (updated new floors, stations, even artwork) and even the clean – est environment (a full time maintenance person is on staff.) Robin sees their goals in the future as continuing to grow, using state-of-the-art techniques and products, always evolving, and increasing the salon space and services. Perhaps our next par – ty will be “Botox, Blowouts and Cocktails,” she quipped. “Would you like an invitation? Just “Like” us on Facebook.”
It’s important to mention that one of Salon Copage’s most popular days is Tues – day when “The Blow Bar” is offered. Newly implemented this summer, clients receive a wash and blow dry for $30 to $35 (by select stylists only.) In truth, it’s obvious that this salon “has it all”: cuts for women, men, boys and girls; hair color that includes single process, high and low lights, Balayage, Ombre and Gloss; Oribe and Olaplex treatments for hair; Textures for smoothing and relaxing the hair; Keratin Complex Smoothing System for hair founded by Biage who has trained hairdressers all over the world in this technique; all kinds of high-end skin treatments; and fine name brand products for purchase including Oribe, Shuga, Sebastian, AG, Sobe, Kenra, and Black Caviar from Israel (which is actually enriched with real black caviar for conditioning.) Their powerful adage is, “We’ve Got It All” showcasing Salon Co – page’s classy image along with its extraordinarily simple and memorable motto that keeps customers coming back: “A Great Haircut is Everything.”
